Gone was the intimidated "new" politician seeking national office, replaced by the [over?]-confident Attack Mom.
So why don't I feel any better?
Certainly, there is a certain refreshing feel to having a typical suburban mom tackle the problems of the nation and the world.
It's doubtful that she (with a dearth of experience in world affairs, despite being able to see Russia from her back yard) can do much worse than the Neo-Con crowd has done these last eight years.
But leading a nation of diverse peoples through issues that are SO far from being black-and-white (yes, literally and figuratively) does require a little finesse. And forgive me (as Howard Cosell once said "I've never played the game"), ice hockey teaches many things, but finesse is apparently NOT one of them.
Though baited, "can I call you Joe?," Senator Biden demonstrated the steady, unflappable demeanor needed upon the world stage.
Hopefully, when you and President Obama need the perspective of a savvy suburban mom (perhaps on both Energy and Special Needs), you'll call the Alaska Governor.
But Governor, you didn't convince me that you have the complete skill set I'm looking for in hiring a President. Bulk up your resume, then get back to me.
