At the risk of starting something . . .[OK, I'll take that risk] the LifeHacker site has a list of Ten Harmless Geek Pranks. Originally posted for April Fool's day, these CAN be fun all year round (used with moderation).
Like the "upside down web page" featured above. Or, make a co-worker's computer "look" like it has blue-screened . . .
